About Amanda Marie King
Attorney Amanda M. King joined Syprett, Meshad, Resnick & Lieb in 2010, and was made a partner in 2017. Amanda exclusively practices in marital and family law including divorce, paternity, custody, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, modifications, relocations, and domestic violence injunctions. She is committed to working with her clients to create a customized approach and strategy for each individual case, recognizing the financial, emotional, and practical needs of clients and their children. Amanda has been certified as a family law mediator by the Florida Supreme Court, serves as a Guardian ad Litem in the Twelfth Judicial Circuit. Her practice includes litigation, uncontested divorce and parenting plan agreements, mediation, and collaborative family law. Amanda is involved in variety of community and legal organizations. She served twice as Chair of the Family Law Section of the Sarasota County Bar Association, and is a frequent speaker on family law matters in the community. She spent five years on the Board of Directors of the Sarasota County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division, where she served as Treasurer and Social Chair. Amanda was recently appointed to the Children’s Issues committee of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. As the proud owner of two rescue dogs and two rescue cats, Amanda is a longtime supporter of animal rescue organizations, including Nate’s Honor Rescue and Sarasota Humane Society. Amanda earned her Juris Doctorate in 2007 from Tulane University School of Law in Louisiana. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion, both from the University of Florida. Amanda is admitted to practice law in Florida, as well as California, where she worked previously as a Deputy Public Defender.
