About Anthony James Bruno II
Anthony Bruno is passionate in every aspect of criminal defense. He has represented thousands of clients over the course of his career in cases ranging from driving on a suspended license to murder. Having worked in criminal defense since he was 19, Anthony has learned that it’s critical to prepare every single case- no matter how minor- as if it were going to trial. Executing this strategy allows Anthony to approach each case with an open mind and establish a complete defense leaving no stone unturned, no defense unexplored. He also understands that communication is key when formulating an effective defense strategy. Because of this, Anthony makes himself available to his clients twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Anthony earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law where he was a Dean’s List student. Prior to law school, Anthony earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Pre-Law at the University of Central Florida where he was also a Dean’s list student. He is a member of the Florida Bar and the Broward Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Anthony earned the reputation of being a fierce advocate as a five-time recipient of the Broward Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers’ “Hat Trick” award. The “Hat Trick” award is bestowed upon defense attorneys who have three not-guilty verdicts in three consecutive jury trials. Anthony’s expertise is not limited to trial work, however. He is very experienced at pre-trial motion practice and has successfully drafted and argued motions that have resulted in cases being dismissed prior to trial. Along with a successful pretrial motion practice, Anthony has post-trial litigation experience in Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeals and Florida’s Supreme Court. A born and raised South Floridian, Anthony spends most of his time on the water when not practicing law. Anthony enjoys sportfishing and participating in the conservation efforts that go along with it. He understands that South Florida’s draw is the water and the significance of protecting it, whether it be a beach, mangrove, or waterway cleanup. When not on the water, Anthony spends most of his time with his wife and their three dogs.
