About Carol Jolene Breece
Carol “Jodie” Breece is currently in private practice, with a concentration in white collar criminal defense and the defense of professionals and businesses in civil litigation. She was the Chief Assistant Statewide Prosecutor for Miami for eight years, and prosecuted for the Office of Statewide Prosecution and the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office for a total of seventeen (17) years. She holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Criminology from the University of Maryland and graduated from the Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. in 1990. She is Board Certified in Criminal Trial Law by The Florida Bar and AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, both since 1999. She has been a Certified Fraud Examiner since 2010. She currently serves as a Director for the League of Prosecutors, sits on the Board of Directors of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Miami-Dade, and is the President of the Miami Beach Bar Association. For The Florida Bar, she has served as Vice Chair, Parliamentarian, and Subcommittee Chair of the Criminal Procedure Rules Committee, member of the Evidence Code and Rules Committee, and member of the Executive Council of the Criminal Law Section. She has also been a member and subcommittee chair of the Dade County Bar Association’s Professionalism Committee She is admitted to practice in Florida state trial and appellate courts, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
