About Janelys Segarra Holland
Mrs. Janelys Holland graduated from St. Thomas University School of Law in May, 2016 and was admitted to The Florida Bar in the Fall of 2016. Prior to becoming an Attorney, Janelys worked at a Worker’s Compensation law firm, Pemsler and Garcia, P.A. where she acquired the legal skills and experience necessary to help injured workers obtain favorable results. In addition, she spent several years working as a paralegal focusing on Personal Injury, Commercial Litigation, and Federal Employment Law.
Prior to her graduation from St. Thomas University School of Law, she served as secretary for STU’s chapter of the Florida Association for Women’s Lawyers (FAWL), and was a member of Phi Alpha Delta, The Cuban-American Bar Association, and the Criminal Law Society. She was on the Dean’s List several semesters and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Book Award for earning the highest grade in Hispanic Civil Rights and the Law. Janelys attended Florida State University and Nova Southeastern University, and obtained Bachelor’s in Arts in Legal Studies and a Minor in Forensic Psychology.
Janelys is currently an Associate Attorney focusing on representing injured workers in their claims against Insurance Companies. She credits her bilingual abilities in helping her effectively communicate with her Spanish speaking clients. She is also a Director for the Miami Lakes Bar Association and a member of Ellesquire. In addition to her work as an Attorney, Janelys enjoys spending time with her husband and children.
