About Jeffrey Howard Minde
Jeffrey H. Minde was born in Brooklyn, New York, and was raised on Long Island. He attended the State University of New York Nassau Community College, receiving his Associate of Arts Degree in 1983. Mr. Minde then attended Adelphi University, from which he received both his Bachelor's Degree (1984) and Master's Degree (1985) in Social Work. Upon receiving his Degrees Magna Cum Laude from Adelphi, Mr. Minde worked for the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, located in Roosevelt, New York, was appointed Director of Social Work at Daleview Nursing Home and Manor, and later became Chair of the Clinical Team at the Nassau Center For Developmental Disabilities, a facility serving the autistic. Mr. Minde attended the University of Miami School of Law, graduating with his Juris Doctor Degree in 1993. He also completed a program in Comparative Legal Studies while in attendance at University College London, located in the Bloomsbury district of London, England. Mr. Minde is one of the leading Special Needs Trust attorneys in the nation. He has participated in the establishment of more than 50 group homes and other residential facilities, as well as numerous other programs and projects to assist those with disabilities. He is responsible for creating the Social Security Administration’s “Ticket To Work” program.
