In Kansas City, Jessica worked for a well-know criminal defense attorney before opening her own practice that focused on criminal defense and appellate work. She helped clients facing charges ranging from DUI to Murder and obtained jury trial acquittals, dismissals and lesser charges in state and federal court. Jessica also successfully wrote and argued appeals and other post-conviction motions in front of the Kansas Supreme Court and the Federal Tenth Circuit. When life took Jessica and her husband to Florida, she was able to continue representing those accused of serious felonies while working for the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Public Defender in Brevard County, Florida. Afterwards, Jessica worked with the firm of Douglas R. Beam, P.A. protecting clients facing criminal accusations, accident injury and civil rights violations. In 2018, Jessica used her experience to open her own practice, as he had in Kansas City. Jessica believes in continuing to educate herself so that she can better serve her clients. She has completed The National Criminal Defense College (NCDC), The NCDC Advanced Cross-Examination Seminar, forensic science seminars and various others focused on defending high-level felony accusations. Jessica has also regularly attends education by the Florida Justice Association, a group focusing on civil law and injury cases.
