About Joann Leigh Gramm
I am principal of the Law Offices of JoAnn Leigh Gramm, P.A.. I began my preparation for becoming a lawyer at the City University of New York, earning a B.A. in History, Magna Cum Laude. I followed with a Juris Doctorate in Law from Rutgers University School of Law, and a Masters of Law in Taxation from Temple University. I put these credentials to work serving as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Superior court of New Jersey. The following six years I spent practicing law with a New Jersey firm while also teaching Business Law at Stockton State College (Galloway, NJ). Branching out on my own, I established a private practice in New Jersey limited to Estate Planning, Probate, Guardianship, Elder Law and Medicaid Planning. In time, I was drawn to the warm Florida climate where in January 2005, I set up a practice in Jacksonville to continue my focus on Estate Planning, Probate Administration, Guardianships , Wills, and Trusts. I am a member of the St. Johns Chamber of Commerce, the Florida Bar Real Property and Probate Division, and Uptown Civitan Jacksonville. I am also a former officer of Project Care, a non-profit organization assisting the elderly in the community. I have organized fund raising activities and coordinated with other non-profits to provide seminars on issues of importance to the elderly. I have also offered seminars on the role of attorneys, non-profits and the community in assisting this segment of the population.
