About Judd Roy Bean II
Mr. Bean has never been a stereotypical attorney; immediately gaining a unique perspective on the "art of lawyering" with his first paid legal position, stationed in Tokyo, as a United States Air Force attorney (Judge Advocate "JAG"), practicing in many locations and in many areas of law. Overall, Mr. Bean’s practice has included: eight years of experience in Family Law (i.e., divorces, paternity, child support, child custody/time-sharing, alimony, prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements, and more), Mental Health Cases (i.e., Marchman Act, Baker Act, Incapacity), Guardianships & Conservatorships, Estate Planning, and Probate, plus 4 years of experience as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force JAG Corps. These experiences give Mr. Bean the ability to quickly create a plan of action to meet the needs of his clients. In addition to working with thousands of issues with different clients, Mr. Bean has attended many advanced training courses focused on Estate Planning Law (including, Elder Law and Guardianship Law), Military Law (including Health Law, Criminal Law, Tax Law, and National Security Law), Mental Health Laws (including, Substance Abuse Law and Incapacity Law), and Family Law. Since Mr. Bean was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2007, he’s been very blessed, receiving awards and accolades for his noted first-hand work in a vast array of exciting cases and projects. In 2011, due to numerous service-connected illnesses, he was medically retired, honorably, from the United States Air Force JAG Corps after four years of distinguished service. During this time he spent working with the heroes of our Nation, Captain Bean earned the Department of the Air Force "The Air Force Commendation Medal", "Outstanding Unit Medal", "Global War on Terrorism Medal", "National Defense Medal", and "Air Force Training Ribbon". Additionally, Captain Bean was a Distinguished Graduate from United States Air Force Officer Training School. Judd continues to put his 'service before self' while applying the unique personal and professional talents he learned serving our country towards new experiences with Judd Bean Law. Mr. Bean graduated cum laude from the University of Florida in 2004 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Sport Management. He later graduated and earned a J.D. from Saint Thomas University School of Law in 2007, finishing at the Upper % of his class. Mr. Bean was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2007. Last Spring, Mr. Bean earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Health Law, graduating at the top of his class from the Loyola University School of Law Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy, which is one of the nation's leading health law programs. Mr. Bean is an active member of the Florida Bar, American Bar Association, Hillsborough County Bar Association, Brandon Bar Association, United States Air Force Court of Appeals, Entertainment and Sports Law Section of the New York State Bar, Federal Bar of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, University of Florida Alumni Association, and Saint Thomas University School of Law Alumni Association. Following nearly three decades of living throughout the world, Mr. Bean now lives and works in the Riverview-area. In his free-time Mr. Bean enjoys reading motivational literature, watching documentaries, fishing, attending sporting events, concerts, going to Florida’s beautiful beaches and, most of all, spending time with his beautiful 3-year-old son, Brave!
