About Katlin Marie Sanders
Attorney Katlin Sanders is a Vero Beach, Florida native. After graduating with her Bachelors in Criminal Justice at nineteen years old, she went on to Rutgers Law School to be the youngest in her graduating class. While at Rutgers, Attorney Sanders earned a specialized Certificate in Criminal Law and was a Dean’s Scholar. To fulfill her passion of serving the community she also served on the law school’s 501(c)3 project, helping form non-profits in the Philadelphia and New Jersey region. She also served on the Federal Prisoner Reentry Program, helping newly released offenders assimilate back into the community and reducing recidivism. Attorney Sanders also taught legal education in the Camden County Detention Center through the Street Law program. Graduating from Rutgers Law School at twenty-two years old, she was awarded the Dean’s Pro Bono Award for her extensive hours put into providing pro bono representation while in law school. Her passion to change the legal industry was sparked by her unique experiences growing up. Her parent’s both fought their own legal troubles, starting in their teens, which shaped the rest of their lives. Her Father was sentenced to fifteen years in prison when she was in elementary school, and she would grow up visiting correctional institutions all over the state. At a young age, her personal exposure to criminal and family law matters drove her to be an advocate for those who are dealing with the most trying times in their lives. Attorney Katlin Sanders has a unique experience that allows her to truly advocate for her clients, with empathy as well as experience. She has been exclusively practicing family, dependency, criminal defense and handling adoptions since she was barred to practice in Florida.
