About Lisa Noelle Thompson
Mrs. Barnes' practice includes guardianship law, commercial law and litigation, probate litigation, general business and corporate matters, condominium and association law, landlord and tenant, and real estate law for client matters in Florida and the Bahamas. After graduating from Sweet Briar College, Mrs. Barnes studied at the University of Edinburgh College of Law, in Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom, where she earned her law degree in 1990. Mrs. Barnes returned to the United States to attend Stetson University College of Law to receive her Juris Doctor in 1993, and she was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1993. Mrs. Barnes furthered her legal education by earning a Master of Laws in Real Property Development from the University of Miami School of Law in 1995. In June 2008, Mrs. Barnes was admitted to the Rolls of Solicitors of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. In September of 2008, Mrs. Barnes was admitted to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas Bar. Mrs. Barnes is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, a member of The Florida Bar, The Bahamas Bar Association, The Indian River County Bar Association, and the Indian River County Real Property Council, Inc. She is also a member of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law and Elder Law Sections of The Florida Bar. Mrs. Barnes serves as an active member of the Treasure Coast Guardianship Association, Inc., First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach (member, Session, Chair of Trustees Committee, and Past Chair of the Associate Pastor Nominating Committee); a member of the Board of Directors of the Public Guardianship Program of Indian River County, Inc., and the Florida State Guardianship Association.
