About Randol Tracy Masters

My fundamental life interests have always revolved around a strong sense of social justice and compassion for others less fortunate. The oldest son of a Julliard-trained musician and a high school principal, I was born in Plainfield, New Jersey and educated by the public school system. In high school, I was privileged to be elected student counsel president and authored a whimsical column for the school newspaper. My college years took me to Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut, where I proudly graduated with a Bachelor of Arts while double majoring in Sociology and History. I played for a time on the varsity soccer team and excelled in intramural sports (flag football & basketball). I also served on student-faculty academic committees, supervised student employment at the student union center, wrote a sports column for the college newspaper (The Pundit) and DJ'd the occasional late night radio show on the campus radio station (WCNI 91.5 FM - New London, CT). After college graduation, I relocated to Southern California to attend faith-based Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu. At Pepperdine, lessons in law were taught at the intersection of faith and reason. Throughout law school I sat on the Pepperdine Honor Board, eventually becoming Chairman. I put myself through law school and acquired "street smarts" working full-time on the night shift at Saint John's Hospital ER in Santa Monica, California. After receiving my doctorate in jurisprudence, I worked as an executive heading up the claims and risk management departments of healthcare corporations, risk retention hospital groups, and traditional physician and medical group insurance organizations. I negotiated equitable resolutions to brain damaged infant and other high exposure medical malpractice litigation in California and Florida. It was very satisfying to bring needed financial security and closure to families struggling with the residual damages brought on by instances of medical malpractice while limiting financial exposure to the medical treatment providers. A strong desire to establish a platform where ethics could mix with compassionate cost-effective representation led me in 2006 to found MASTERS LAW, where EVERY CLIENT MATTERS! Based out of the 1900 Building in historic downtown Melbourne, my law practice is focused on civil and criminal trial litigation throughout Florida, with a primary footprint in Brevard, Indian River and St. Lucie Counties. Community engagement has great importance at MASTERS LAW, and includes volunteering at church, playing in the United Way lawyers versus doctors softball games, and coaching a successful Little League baseball team (ages 10-12). I proudly serve as Board Member-Recording Secretary and Pro Bono Legal Consultant for COMMUNITY of HOPE - a Brevard County based 501(c) non-profit organization dedicated to helping transition homeless families into stable housing with dignity, compassion and mentorship. It gives me great joy to judge at the College Moot Court Tournament held annually at the University of Central Florida Center for Legal Studies in Orlando, and also at the Brevard County High School Moot Court Tournament held at the Moore Justice Center in Viera. Since 2011, I have authored a monthly general legal advice column for the Barefoot Bay District and surrounding community of Micco. It is available in print and on-line at "The Barefoot Tattler". Serving God, loving my family, helping others, and successfully representing the legal interests of my clients brings much satisfaction and remains my life's mission. Please let me help you - CALL NOW !!!
