About Thomas A. Moseley
Thomas A. Moseley, born in Denver, Colorado, received a B.S.B.A. degree with high honors in Finance in 1978 from the University of Florida. He earned his J.D. in 1981 from Stetson University College of Law and a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida College of Law in 1982. He has held a Series 7 securities license since 1991. In addition, he received Board Certification from the Florida Bar Association as a specialist in Wills, Trusts and Estates in 2000. He also received the highest peer review rating for ability and ethics (AV) from judges and other attorneys. Mr. Moseley became associated with the firm of Grimes, Goebel, Parry, Blue, Boylston and McGuire in 1982. He was also an associate of the firm of Early and Early in Sarasota, Florida. Mr. Moseley practiced with his own firm for six years principally in the areas of real estate, estate planning, corporation and business law and taxation and was a partner in the firm of Greene, Donnelly, Schermer, Tipton & Moseley for six years. Mr. Moseley has extensive experience with residential and commercial real property transactions, mortgages, title insurance, estate planning, including wills, health care surrogate designations, and probate administration. Mr. Moseley has co-authored several articles in the area of estate planning. His experience in corporation and business law includes entity selection, formation and termination, and business acquisitions and sales. Mr. Moseley was an adjunct professor and taught corporations and business organizations at Manatee Community College. Mr. Moseley's experience in the area of taxation includes tax free exchanges, tax exempt organizations, estate and gift tax planning and practice and procedure before the Internal Revenue Service, including audits, liens and collections. Mr. Moseley is a member of the Florida Bar and the Manatee County Bar Association. Mr. Moseley is past Chairman of the Florida Area Council of Boys and Girls Clubs of America. He is Past President and a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County, Inc. Mr. Moseley is a member of the Governmental Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and past chairman of its Legislative Affairs committee. He is also the President-Elect of the Bradenton Kiwanis. He is a member of Florida Blue Key and Omicron Delta Kappa, leadership fraternities. Mr. Moseley has received numerous awards for his community service. In 2001 Mr. Moseley was recognized as Board Member of the Year for the Florida Area Council of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. In 2001, he was awarded the National Medallion from the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. In 2002, he received the 10 Who Care award from Channel 10 for outstanding community service. In 2006, he received the Community Service Leader Award from the Manatee County Bar Association. In 2008 he received the Presidential Service Award from President George Bush.
