William P. Schoel

About William P. Schoel

William P. Schoel is a Senior Associate at Butler Pappas. Bill practices in the liability department at Butler Pappas, having joined the firm in 2005. Bill received his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Washington in 1981 where he was the recipient of the Bob Doble Memorial Scholarship for Journalism. He received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Seattle University in 1984. Bill is a member of The Florida Bar, the Washington State Bar, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington, the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He was formerly a shareholder with a Seattle, Washington law firm where for sixteen years he defended government entities and agents, insureds, self-insureds, and insurance carriers in tort, contract, extra contract, and civil rights litigation.
