About Winifred Renae Eilert
Winnie Eilert is a southern West Virginia native. She attended Marshall University, located in Huntington, West Virginia, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Psychology. She went on to receive her Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati. Winnie worked in federal law enforcement for nearly ten years, during which time she became a FLETC-trained firearms and safety instructor, served on committees dedicated to investigating and supervising special offenders, and assisted with the implementation and operation of a residential substance abuse treatment program. In 2008, Winnie was one of a select group of presenters at a national law enforcement conference, where she discussed the use of evidence-based practices in working with individuals in the criminal justice system. Although she enjoyed her work, Winnie felt her talents were better suited for legal practice, so she moved to Florida to embark on her journey through law school at Florida Coastal School of Law. During her time in law school, Winnie earned the highest grade in her Torts class, resulting in the receipt of a Book Award. She also worked as a Teaching Assistant for a Legal Research and Writing course, served on the executive board of two student organizations, and was an active member of the school’s elite Moot Court Honor Board. Winnie is currently licensed to practice law in the State of Florida and admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She primarily practices family law, handling divorce, child custody, and domestic violence matters. Winnie also has experience handling cases in the following areas: • National Security Clearance Defense • Federal Employment Law • Business Formation • Contract Drafting • Intellectual Property (Copyright/Trademark Registration and Enforcement) • Domestic Violence Law/Injunctions for Protection against Violence • Family Law • Civil Litigation • Criminal Defense • Estate Planning In her spare time, Winnie enjoys spending time with her family and attending concerts and sporting events. Winnie is an avid football fan, and she supports the Carolina Panthers and her home team, the Jacksonville Jaguars.
